Learning from Denmark: Becoming a Leader in Food Innovation
Posted Sep 22, 2017
Taber Economic Development and Economic Development Lethbridge are pleased to be partnering to continue the conversation around the protein based food super clusters and build on southern Alberta's strength in agriculture and agri-food.
Please join us for this FREE event as we host Søren Madsen - the Executive Director of a world-renowned food park in Aarhus, Denmark, for the past 10 years. The food park is a commercial innovation ecosystem for agriculture and food comprising 75 companies and R&D institutions, with over 1,000 employees. Aarhus is a city of excellence for food manufacturing in Denmark. Can our region learn lessons from Denmark? See Soren’s bio here.
We are also thrilled to host Carlo Dade from the Canada West Foundation at the same event to hear his perspectives on recent developments with international trade agreements and the future of Canada's role as a global food supplier. You can learn more about Carlo here.
We look forward to your questions and a robust discussion as we map out a vision for the region.
