Posted May 30, 2017
The Conference Board of Canada’s Provincial Outlook: Spring 2017 report indicates Alberta and Saskatchewan to emerge out of recession and lead the provinces in economic growth this year. Alberta will have the fastest growing provincial economy, with real GDP forecast to increase by 3.3% this year. This is largely linked to Alberta’s oil and gas industry seemingly putting a stop to the bleeding and putting the province’s economy on the road to recovery.
The oil and gas sector is a key resource and economic driver in Taber, demonstrated by the many success stories and growing number of oil and gas related businesses going strong within the Town and surrounding area. For more on the oil and gas sector in Taber click here.
